Clark’s mother was raised at a trading post and he and his sister spent much of their summers at the post. Gary Halowell Photography at Red Butte Garden

    by  • April 24, 2015 • 0 Comments

Red Butte Garden will be displaying the photography of Gary Halowell May 1-24 in THE ESSENCE OF NATURE.

“In recent years, I’ve purposely broken away from the cliché, and incorporated a more artistic style and vision into my photography. Using my camera as a painter uses their paintbrush I create abstract, impressionistic images of the natural world. With a unique macro-panning technique in the field, I try to capture nature’s pure and uncorrupted beauty in a more artistic and distinctive way. To preserve this beauty has become my lifelong goal. I compose each image utilizing natures infinite and ever changing palette of color and light.

When capturing these photos, I focus not only on recording images that will satisfy the viewers eye, but also evoke an emotion and enlighten the soul. I think of it as visual poetry.

Thank you for taking the time to observe my artwork. And may your hearts be lifted and your souls be inspired to seek out THE ESSENCE OF NATURE.”
